Emma L. Hiller Farmer, 81
Emma L. Hiller of Brighton, a farmer, died Monday at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton. She was 81.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Zion Lutheran Church, 1400 Skeel St., Brighton. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Emma Chambers was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Brush. On June 15, 1941, she married Lewis Hiller in Brighton. He preceded her in death.
Since 1941, she had lived north of Brighton, where she helped operate the family farm. She had also worked for the J.C. Penney store in Brighton and the Brighton School District.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hudson and the Farmers Union, and auditor for the Brighton Cooperative Federal Credit Union. Her hobbies were cooking and crafts.
She is survived by a daughter, Loree Winn, Franktown; a son, Stanley, Brighton; a brother, Peter Chambers, Brighton; a sister, Florence Talbot, Brighton; and four grandchildren.
