Renee Crowe, 54, of Fort Lupton, passed Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St Anthony Central Hospital in Lakewood from septic shock caused by an infection related to chemotherapy treatment for cancer. Renee was born July 1, 1960, in Brush, Colorado, to Ernest and Marie (Dove) Blake. She married Joel Crowe on March 9, 1979, in Brighton. They have two children, Jessie Marie Crowe, 11, and Blake Ernest Crowe, 16. The family has lived in the Brighton and Fort Lupton area all of their married life.
Renee grew up in Brush and in Brighton, and graduated from Brighton High School, class of 1978. Renee and Joel went to Brighton High School together. Renee is well known for her artistic talent. She created beautiful works of ceramics, porcelain dolls and watercolor paintings. She created many gorgeous knitted and crocheted yarn items along with countless other crafty things. Renee is missed by many. She had a heart full of artistry and love.
Renee is survived by her loving husband, Joel; son, Blake; daughter, Jessie; sister Jill (Jerry) Unrein, of Brighton; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral service is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church of Fort Lupton. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton. To offset expenses, visit www.gofundme.com/ofvbic. Erlinger Funeral Home of Fort Lupton is handling the arrangements.
