Anna Louise Odell
NYSSA, Ore. Graveside services for Anna Louise Odell, 88, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver. Mrs.Odell died Sept. 13, 1994, in a nursing home in Nyssa.
She was born Jan. 11, 1906, in Columbus, Ohio, to Thomas and Anna (Linberg) Swainson. The family later moved to Brighton, where she attended high school.
Following her graduation from high school, she married Charles D. Odell in June. He was employed by the U.S. Mint in Denver for 20 years and the couple lived in Lakewood, Colo. Following her husband's retirement in 1954, they moved to Casper, where her husband and his brother constructed many homes while owning Mountain View Homes Co.
Mrs. Odell began employment in 1959 with Culverts and Industrial Supply Company as a retiring in 1971 after 13 years. She was a volunteer with Memorial Hospital in Casper and donated more than 4,000 hours of service.
She was a 60-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary having served as president of the organization on three separate occasions. She was an active member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Meals on Wheels and Casper's only home -owned funeral service Bustard's CY at Spruce Funeral Directors
