Charles V. Allen 86, of Yermo died Thursday at home. The cause of death is unknown, pending a doctor's report.
Allen, a native of Blanca (Colorado), lived in Yermo for 25 years. He was a self-employed chef for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his son, Gary of Yermo; four daughters, Barbara J.of Hinkley, Donna Kepley of Yermo, Jo Ann Magrader of Palm Springs, and Mary Trask of Grants Pass, 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, Barstow. Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mead Mortuary. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road, Barstow.
