The following were the six boys killed in the auto-train accident of October 25, 1947
Herbert Edward Cutler---Class of 1948 (age 17)
Walter Kenneth Gettel--Class of 1947 (age 18)
Donald Leroy Gettel------Class of 1949 (age 16)
Milton Gilbert Heldt-------Class of 1949 (age 15)
Lamont Edwin Zuschin--Class of 1948 (age 16)
Dale Eugene Zuschin----Class of 1951 (age 14)
There were two sets of brothers killed. All boys were Lutheran and in a story related to me, via the Gettel Boys' sister it was very sad to see six caskets in front of the old church.
