Yearbook Covers

The first Brighton High School yearbook appears to have been issued in 1924. This is based on the 1925 yearbook with the notation that it is volume 2. They stopped being issued for an unspecified reason. The book "The History of Brighton, CO and the Surrounding Area, on page 202, says "In the Spring of 1947 an annual was published. It had been 21 years since an annual had been published at Brighton High School." That would make the 1926 annual the final one, and a set of just three, from those early years..

Through the generocity of various BHS alums I have been able to obtain cover scans of about 90% of all years. As you have likely noticed, I use a cropped image of the yearbook cover for the header of each of class. I thought it a shame that because of the limitations of my web template, I could not display the whole cover. This page remedies that. To make each cover bigger, just click on it.

Of course, I hope to one day have a representation of each year. If you have access to a cover I am missing, I would really appreciate a scan or digital picture of it. Scan at 300 dpi or take a picture from directly over head. No angles, please.

At some point in the future I may add what internal pages I have. Check back here for updates on that project, but don't expect it anytime soon. As you may guess I have plenty to do with the rest of this site.

Finally, with respect to class years in which there is no yearbook, I plan to eventually have some sort of header added. What each of those will be is far from decided. I know I want to have the "year" be prominent and ideally it should have something to do with Brighton High School or at least Brighton. If you have an idea or want to create something, let me know. I will give you credit in the header.
