E. Bernice Warembourg
E. Bernice Warembourg, 81, of Longmont, died Dec. 19, 2010, at the HospiceCare Center.
Bernice was born Dec. 30, 1928, in Brighton, the daughter of Herschel Elgene and Cora Abby Florence (Thompson) Washburn. She attended Brighton High School.
She married Joe Warembourg Nov. 5, 1949, in Brighton. Bernice moved to Longmont in 1979 from Dacono. Bernice worked for Stovers Candy Co., Samsonite Luggage, and Rocky Flats.
She was of the Christian faith. Bernice was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Red Dale Drifters, the VFW Auxiliary Unit 1771 in Lafayette for 30 years, and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1985 in Firestone. Bernice enjoyed needlepoint, camping, taking vacations, polka and square dancing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Jessie, Edith, Gladys Lorraine and Lela Conway; and three brothers, Ben, Arnold, and Richard Washburn.
She is survived by her loving husband, of Longmont; her daughter, Marla Souter (husband Mark), of Longmont; her son, Ron Warembourg (wife Marci Peppler), of Frederick; one brother, Herschel E. Washburn, Jr. (wife Sharon); six grandchildren, Rhonda Hartman (husband Bart), Aryon Sanchez (husband Tony), Crystal Hunter (husband Mike), C.J. Warembourg (wife Lorinda), Cody Warembourg and Cpl. Nicholas McHale, USMC; eight great-grandchildren, Gianna Sanchez, Isaah Parra, Jeff Hartman, Connor Mallory, Jayden Doyle, Alyssa Hunter, Coleton Warembourg and Amelia Waremboug and many nieces and nephews including Allen and Cathy Conway, Janet and Mike Oliveri and Brenda, Dana, and Randy Washburn.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Dec. 23, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral service is at 10 a.m., Dec. 24, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory. Share condolences and memories with Bernice’s family atwww.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com.
