BETTY JEANNE RUDD, 72, died Dec. 22, 1996, in Colorado
Springs. She was a retired sales clerk.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at Crystal Valley Cemetery in Manitou Springs.
Mrs. Rudd was born May 21, 1924, in Horton, Kan., to Merle and Verla (Ritchie) Smith, who are deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth E. of Colorado Springs, Kenton E. of Monticello, Idaho, and Terry R. of Haltom City, Texas; two brothers, Ronald Smith of Canon City and Richard Smith of Garden Valley, Idaho; four sisters, Shirley McClure of Colorado Springs, Vivian Campbell of Cheyenne, Wyo., Margaret Coniff of Olympia, Wash., and Carolyn Forgarty of Denver; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Smith and Donald Smith.
Mrs. Rudd enjoyed visiting with family and friends and trips to Cripple Creek. She was a loving mother. She had lived in Colorado Springs for 60 years.
