Brighton farmer, 73
Charles Rayburn "Ray" Green of Brighton, a farmer, died Sunday at Brighton Care Center. He was 73.
Services were yesterday at Brighton United Methodist Church. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born June 14, 1921, in Watkins. His wife, Betty Spengler Green, is deceased.
Green also worked as a welder. He was a member of the Brighton Jaycees baseball team, Brighton Optimist Club, the Elks Lodge and Senior Swingers Golf Club. He served on the advisory board of the Brighton Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed fishing, golf and hunting.
He is survived by a daughter, Melanie Green, Boulder; a brother, James L.; a sister, Alma Tracy; and a half sister, Nell Bergman, all of Brighton.
