Chimi Doi Brighton resident, 71
Chimi Doi, a Brighton resident, died Aug. 16 at her home. She was 71.
Funeral services were yesterday at the Brighton Buddhist Temple. Seventh-day memorial services will also be held there at 11 a.m. today. There was cremation.
She was born Jan. 31, 1925, in Los Angeles. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1943. On Feb. 1, 1948, she married Henry Doi in Brighton.
Mrs. Doi worked at the Community Hospital and other local businesses until retiring in 1987. She was a member of the BJAA, Brighton Buddhist Temple and the Nisei Women's Club. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Dennis, Brighton; three daughters, Sallie Tawara and Theresa Doi, both of Aurora, and Diana Doi, Denver; two sisters, Mary Shirozona, California, and Himi Morishige, Arvada; two brothers, Tom and Roy Mayemura, both of California; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
