G. Charles 'Chuck` Green of Lafayette died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, of complications from diabetes. He was 64.
The son of George R. Green and Helen Snell Green, he was born June 9, 1938, in Longmont. He married Nancy Turner in Boulder in 1958.
Mr. Green owned his own auto salvage business, formerly Foothills Auto.
He was a member of the Lafayette Lions Club for several years in the 1980s. He coached Little League baseball and football in Lafayette for more than 15 years.
"He was a great coach," his family said.
He enjoyed bowling, fast-pitch softball, archery, fishing, hunting and entertaining his grandchildren, family members said. He was a state champion wrestler in high school and college.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Boulder for many years.
Survivors include his wife of Lafayette; his mother of Denver; three daughters, Suzanne Green-Suitts of Boulder, Brenda Lee Felder of Hanford, Calif., and Sharon K. Roberts of Thornton; a son, Timothy C. Green of Boulder; three sisters, Judy MacIntosh of Westminster, Karen Nightingale of Loveland and Cheryl Green of Castle Rock; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church, 950 28th St., Boulder.
Interment will be private, at the Lafayette Cemetery.
