Cynthia Amber Kukus
Cynthia Amber Kukus was born on May 16th, 1982 and lost her fight against stomach cancer on October 12, 2014. She fought bravely to the end and passed peacefully surrounded by many loved ones. She touched so many hearts and positively affected so many lives during her time on this earth. Her memory will forever hold strong in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have sat still with her, for those who shared bread and laughter with her, and for those who got to bathe in her smile.
While Cyndy had every right to become self involved and full of self pity, during her struggle with cancer, she spent much of her time lifting up others, helping them to find peace and love in their lives. She stretched out a hand of encouragement, guidance and hope. Her life on this earth was determined, with cause and purpose. The funny faces, the glowing smiles, the support and kindness were gifts she offered freely. Cyndy leaves this place in body, but will forever remind us of her presence through the footprints she has left behind.
As a woman, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and a friend we remember Cyndy with a passion for life, it's what she would have demanded. In this day we pause to bow our heads with a promise to raise ourselves up for Cyndy, for God and for life.
Cyndy has gone ahead of her parents Larry and Donna Howell (Loveland, CO), siblings DeAnna Cook (Chuck Cook) Broomfield, CO and Nathan Howell (Loveland, CO), Neices: Taryn, Abby, and Lea Cook; Maddy and Clara Howell, Nephews: Cody and Ethan Howell. She also has gone ahead of her husband Josh Kukus, son Christian Kukus and daughter Kaydence Kukus of Milliken, CO as well as many biological brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She will be missed by many friends and loved ones but she has not left anyone behind, she has given life to all. Her laughter will echo endlessly in our ears, her love in our hearts and wisdom in our minds.
She is preceded in death by her biological mother Rose Benavidez and a brother, Timothy Licon.
A life celebration and memory service will be held in Cyndy's honor at Resurrection Fellowship, 6502 E. Crossroads Blvd., in Loveland, CO on Friday October 17th at 5p.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Domus Pacis Family Respite (domuspacis.org) or Ram Strength (ramstrength.org) in honor of Cyndy Kukus. -
