Denny Ray Romero
Denny Ray Romero, 55, of Greeley, died June 6, 2013, at his home. He was born April 8, 1958, in Denver, to Ray and Isabel Romero.
Denny moved to Greeley in 2000 to be near his family. He was employed by industrial construction companies as a superintendent for many years until he became disabled. He maintained a positive and passionate life after his disablement and was an inspiration to anyone who knew him. Denny was an avid Bronco fan and loved a great party. He had special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren, family, nurses and friends.
Survivors are his children: Antonio Archuleta and his wife, Jennifer Johnston, of Greeley, Janelle Archuleta and husband, Jason Ratajczak, of Kalamazoo, Mich., Tommy Romero, of Greeley, Celeste Kalbfliesh, of Evans, and Robert Romero, of Greeley; eight grandchildren, Rachel , Marcus, Lillyana, Benny, Joey , Skyla , Cecilia and Andres; his father, Ray Romero, of Greeley; his brothers Mark Romero and his wife, Lori, Juan Romero and his wife, Heidi; his sister Andrea Sanchez, and many nieces and nephews, all of Greeley; his grandfather, Ancelmo Gonzales, of Brighton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that he was very close to, as well as his close friends the Kline family of Brighton.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bella Romero, and grandmothers Pauline Romero and Rose Gonzales.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. June 22 at Brighton United Methodist Church, 625 S. Eighth Ave. Celebration of life to follow at the Brighton Knights of Columbus Hall, 1096 E. Bridge Street.
