Business owner, 76
Cynthia "Doddie" Matthews of Boulder, a homemaker and business owner, died Thursday at Boulder Community Hospital. She was 76.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 6739 S. Boulder Road.
She was born July 10, 1917, in Lakewood. Raised in Henderson, she graduated from Brighton High School. With her husband, she owned and operated grocery stores in Roggen and Evergreen, and a Red Barn franchise in Boulder.
Mrs. Matthews was a member of Sacred Heart of Mary and Nativity of Broomfield churches. She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Gary, Boulder, and Thomas, North Carolina; a daughter, Susan Walker, Broomfield; and nine
grandchildren.
