Doreen L. Siebrasse, 79, of Gettysburg, S.D., died Sept. 4, 2010.
Doreen was born June 9, 1931, to Victor and Anna Stinnett, of Brighton. She graduated from Brighton High School and enrolled in Colorado State University where she met her future husband, Delbert D. Siebrasse, of Gettysburg. They were united in marriage Aug. 20, 1950, in Brighton, CO
Immediately following their marriage, Delbert and Doreen homesteaded in Southwestern Potter County, S.D. Six children were born of their union. Doreen worked side by side with her husband all their married life to raise their family, build a home and administrate a family farm. Doreen was an excellent homemaker, cook, gardener and seamstress. She worked briefly outside the home and only when the children were older, as an aide at the Gettysburg Memorial Hospital and a clerk at the Ben Franklin store in Gettysburg.
Doreen is survived by her children, Dewayne (Linda) Siebrasse, of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Ryan (Kate) Siebrasse, of Studio City, Calif. and Nicole Siebrasse of Brookings, S.D.; Dianne Siebrasse of Minneapolis, Minn.: Donna Siebrasse Sanchiz (Miguel) and grandchildren, Monique and Nicholas Sanchiz, of Panama City, Republic of Panama; Dan (Laure) Siebrasse of Webster, Wis.; David Siebrasse and grandchildren Madison and Bailey Siebrasse, of Pierre, S.D.; grandchildren, Angie and Justin Ellenbecker, of Las Vegas, Nev.; her sister, Evelyn (Fred) Reed of Springfield, Ohio; niece, Linda Stinnett Rock and family; and nephew John Stinnett and family, of Brighton.
Doreen was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert, on Sept. 20, 2009; her daughter, Delene, in 1988; her parents; and her brother, Richard Stinnett, of Brighton.
