Helen Diane VonFeldt (Gerrard)
September 15, 1957 – March 31, 2016
Age: 58
Residence: Greeley
If you were able to ask her how her day was today, she would say, “Today had some bad moments, but it was still a good day!”
Helen Diane VonFeldt (Gerrard) passed away March 31, 2016, after a courageous fight with esophageal cancer at the age of 58. Yes, today did have some bad moments — we lost a beautiful spirit, kind heart, personal cheerleader and great dresser. But it was a still a good day as Helen moved on from this world to one she knows is full of people she loves, waiting for her with open arms.
Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Helen knew she had “that something.” She was a mom to the world — taking on each friend who crossed her path regardless of age, association or belief. She was known through her life, and will now be known through eternity, as truly beautiful inside and out. Helen loved her two sons, Lenny and Randy, unconditionally and an infinite amount. She made sacrifices for their wellbeing too many times to count. She loved every member of her family and friends unconditionally too, and would have given her life for any one of them. She befriended every person she ran into (sometimes literally ran into) without trying and without any knowledge of the impact she had on all that knew her. The world has lost one of its biggest ambassadors of loving and care.
Helen is survived by her children Lenny and Randy; her siblings, David, Art and Nancy; her adopted siblings (their partners) Linda, Mary, and Anson; her grandchildren Emma, Christopher, Bailey (her grand puppy), Ari, Riley and her rescue puppy Beniah; her husband Dave and his daughter Bethanie; her many nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, etc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Eugene Clark; her brother, Eddie Clark; her grandparents, Viola Martin, Susan Clark, George Clark, and Arthur Dow; her cousins, Doug and Linda Marie Skeff; her cousins, Debbie and Peggy Bonner; her cousin, Chuck Clark; and her cousin, Allen Bonner.
Helen has chosen to be cremated and placed in the same mausoleum that her parents were placed 42 years ago. As she has chosen to be cremated, a viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Adamson Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Condolences may be left for Helen’s family at www.adamsonchapels.com.
