Irene Delores Macias-Ruiz, 69, of Brighton, passed away Sept. 8, 2013. She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Brighton, to Aurelio and Jennie R. Macias.

She is survived by her children, Roxane R. (Juan) Chacon, of Brighton, and Gabriel M. (Vilma) Miera, of Denver; grandchildren, Destiny Chacon, Samantha Chacon, Alexgandro Chaco, Dominick Chacon, Emiliano Chacon, Angelo Chacon, Gabriel M. Miera II, Sierra Miera, Jonathan Moran and Jessica Moran; brothers, Richard Macias, of Brighton, Martin (Rachel) Macias, of Northglenn; Thom (James) Macias, of California; a sister, Joann (Gilbert) Mascarenas, of Brighton; and close personal friend and companion, Rodney Baker.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Olivia Miera; brothers, Paul Macias and Manuel Macias; and her loving pets, Jellybean, Max and Lulu.

A memorial will be held in her name at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Nativity Lutheran Church, 12500 E. 104th Ave., Commerce City, CO 80022. Reception will follow.
