JAMES E. "JIM" WEST
Mr. West, 69, died Sept. 17, 2000, at a local hospital. He retired from the Army after 28 years of service.
Mr. West was born April 20, 1931, in Denver to William D. and Irene (McGrath) West, who are deceased. He was married Aug. 18, 1951, to Janice Marie O'Brien.
He is survived by his wife, Jan West; three sons, Bob, Mike and Scott; two daughters, Kathy Ward and Lynn Layne; a brother, Dole E.; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday with services at 9 a.m. at Soldiers Memorial Chapel, Building 1500, corner of Nelson Boulevard and Martinez Street, Fort Carson. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906, is handling arrangements
