J​​effery “Jeff” Clifford Owens Sr, 63, of Three Forks, went to reside in the arms of our Lord and Savior on October 11, 2018. He was born February 22, 1955 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Eugene and Betty (Jurgens) Owens.

In Brighton, Colorado, Jeff was raised and educated. He met the love of his life Delfina Moreno while he was in North Junior High. They were married December 11, 1971 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. Jeff and the family moved to Thornton, Colorado, he worked for Timpte, building semi-truck trailers.

The couple made their home in Brighton, Colorado. He served our country in the United States Army, in the 82nd Airborne, in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina during the Vietnam Era. Jeff and the family moved back to Thornton after his honorable discharge.

Jeff and family purchased their first home in Commerce City, Colorado in 1977 and lived there for 6 years, then back to Brighton, Colorado. While in Brighton Jeff was the president of the Brighton Wrestling Club for 13 years. Jeff and Delfina moved to Three Forks in 1995 to be near their first granddaughter.

While in Three Forks, Jeff worked for Lehrkind’s Coca Cola as a production supervisor and maintenance supervisor for 9 years, he then went to work as a builder in Big Sky for many years.

Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, both archery and rifle, he was an avid fisherman who loved to spend time on the water on his raft navigating the rivers. He also loved hiking with the family.
Jeff’s faith was paramount in his life, he was a devout Catholic and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Three Forks.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Stephen.

Survivors include his wife Delfina, two sons Adam (LeAnna LeCount) Owens and Jeff Jr. all of Three Forks; 6 grandchildren Bryanna, Hannah, Raissa, Aubrey, Jason, and Cressida; brother Keith (Marisa) Owens of Roggen, Colorado; sister Carol (Ron) Dean of Brighton, Colorado; nephews who were raised as sons to Jeff: Nick and CJ Moreno; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation Wednesday 6 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the graveside committal with Military honors at the Three Forks Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Holy Family Catholic Church in Three Forks.
