John Franklin Buckner
June 18, 1975-May 15, 2016
Age: 40
Residence: Greeley
John Franklin Buckner, 40, of Greeley passed away on May 15, 2016.
It is with a broken heart that Lisa Buckner shares this last photo of her son. She took this photo a week ago. Little did she know he would be gone less than 24 hours from the time this was taken. He died of a drug overdose. Chasing that one last high killed him.
He leaves behind his mom, Lisa Buckner of Brighton; sister, Janene Flores of Greeley; sons, Johnny and Zachary Buckner of Oklahoma; his grandmother, Doris Lamb of Brighton; aunts and uncles, Dan and Pam Buckner of Brighton, Dave and Elaine Kime of Parker; cousins, Nate and Sarah Buckner of Brighton, XXXXXX Buckner of Denver, Janae Kime of Parker; nephews, Daniel Booz of Arvada and Jesse Russell of Laramie, Wyo.; and niece, Julie Russell of Greeley.
He was not perfect, he was human. John always had a gentle heart and would do anything for people in need. He adored his cousins and his niece and nephews but his greatest joy in life was being a dad.
He loved his boys so much.
She misses his smile already.
A memorial service is planed for July 30, 2016.
