Lorraine Clare Giesick, passed away in Rowlett, Texas, on Nov. 24, 2015. She was born May 11, 1947, in Salida to John and FloraDee Sampson.
Lorraine married Robert in February of 1967 in Brighton. They have been married for 48 years. She has been a resident of Dallas for the past year and previously resided in San Jose, Calif., for 42 years. She was a piano teacher, an artist and a pioneer in Faberge Egg Art. Lorraine loved to travel all over the U.S. and to various parts of the world. She was a longtime pet lover who enjoyed many hours of companionship with her dogs, Zoey and Ozzie. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother in law, John Doherty.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Robert Giesick of Dallas, Texas; children, Jeffrey (Lisa) Robert Giesick of Maui, Hawaii, Randy Lee Giesick of San Jose, Calif., Christina Marie Giesick of Clinton Township, Mich.; sister, Carolyn Doherty of Littleton; grandchildren, Jayme Shae Giesick of Yorba Linda, Calif., Faith Shaelyn Giesick of Portland, Ore.; dear friends, Susan McCubbin of Palm Harbor, Fla., Joan Huff of Kissimmee, Fla., Kathy Hamilton of Dallas; and numerous extended family and friends.
