Victims of Tuesday Night Multi-Vehicle Fatal Crash on I-45 Identifed.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a five-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate Highway 45, north of Shenandoah, Texas. The preliminary crash investigation indicates on Tuesday, December 06, 2022, at approximately 11:16 p.m., a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling north at a high rate of speed on the IH 45 service road and collided with a 2007 Lexus entering the roadway from a private drive.
The rider and motorcycle landed in the northbound main lanes of IH 45. A 2022 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2006 Audi A4 pulled in front of the motorcycle to assist and perform traffic control. A 2010 Toyota Corolla traveling northbound struck the motorcycle, the Audi, and the Chevrolet.
The driver of the Chevrolet was struck by the Toyota while standing outside the vehicle. The rider of the Suzuki, Twenty-seven-year-old Oliver James Shaw of New Caney, Texas, was pronounced deceased on scene by Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack. The driver of the Lexus, Twenty-two-year-old Marlon Steven Ruiz Velasquez of Houston, Texas, was not injured. The driver of the Toyota, Thirty-four-year-old Anthony Ray Howard of Montgomery, Texas, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital (The Woodlands) in stable condition.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Twenty-three-year-old Lucas Paul Wegener of Conroe, Texas, was pronounced deceased on scene by Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack. The driver of the Audi, Twenty-one-year-old Elias Mauricio Oliva of Conroe, Texas, was not injured. This is an ongoing investigation, and there is no additional information available for release at this time. In addition to this six other vehicles suffered damage due to the debris on the freeway. This included a UPS 18-wheeler which part of the motorcycle was wedged under the truck.
