Michael Leroy Struck, formerly of Brighton, passed away Nov. 19, in Amarillo, Texas, from respiratory failure. He was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Denver, to Paul and Ruth (Jabach) Struck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lois. He is survived by his brother, Jim (Dot) Struck; a nephew, Toby Struck; nieces Tia Struck and Taffy (Tyler) Sonnenfield; and stepdaughters, Roya Beklik and Donna (Kelly) Maurce. No services will take place.

Michael Leroy Struck, 71, of Hotchkiss, formerly of Brighton, passed away from respiratory failure while on vacation in Amarillo, Texas. He was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Denver, to Paul and Ruth (Hubach) Struck.
Mike grew up on the family farm west of Brighton. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1962. After high school, he joined the Navy and served for two years. When Mike returned home, he bought a semi and made his living for many years with over-the-road hauls. He took a few years away from trucking to work for Colorado State Oil Department. While working for the state, he met and married Lois Alexander, in 1979. Mike worked for Calabrese Trucking until his health caused him to retire.
Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially when he could take the grandkids with him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Lois.
Mike is survived by his brother, Jim (Dot) Struck; nephew, Toby Struck; nieces, Tia Struck and Taffy (Tyler) Sonnenfeld; stepdaughters, Roya Beklik and Donna (Kelly) Maurice; stepgrandchildren, Cameron, Max and Phae Maurice; a great-niece, great-nephews; and an uncle, aunts and cousins.
