STEVENSON, PEARL LOUISE Passed away on October 16, 2008 at the age of 80. Pearl was a loving wife and a dedicated mother. Pearl was born in Denver and was a graduate of South High School and the University of Denver, where she studied education and was president of Kappa Delta Sorority. She performed graduate work at San Diego State University, and later taught business classes at Brighton High School , where she was a long time advisor for the school's yearbook. Pearl lived in Hawaii for many years and was an active volunteer with the Honolulu Symphony, where she was instrumental in the creation of their successful pop concert series. In Hawaii, she was President of Panhellenic, President of Kappa Delta Alumni Association and a recipient of the Order of the Emerald Award from Kappa Delta Sorority in recognition of her lifetime of volunteer service. She and her husband enjoyed football and basketball games at the University of Hawaii, and attended Kawaiaha'o Church. Pearl moved back to Colorado in 1988 and resided in Willow Springs, where she enjoyed watching deer and elk in her backyard. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward C., her son, Edward E., and her older brother, Eugene, of Estes Park, CO.
