Ronald Allen McKee, 49, of Thompson Falls died August 12, 2016 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center of kidney failure. For nine years Ron had been doing dialysis and had been waiting for a new kidney most of those years.
He was born May 10, 1967 to Marian and Rodney McKee in Vallejo, California. He graduated from Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado and at the time of his death had received an Associate of Arts from Flathead Community College where he got straight A’s. He was working toward his Bachelor of Arts in writing. Prior to his death, he had completed a work, which is being published posthumously by the college.
Ronald had taken writing classes for several years at Noxon School in the adult education class taught by Jay Simons. He never missed a class even though he had to undergo dialysis treatments in Missoula and then would drive to Noxon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorine and niece, Misty McKee.
He is survived by his mother, Marian Roberts; father, Rodney McKee; stepfather, Kim Roberts; stepmother, Donna McKee, sisters Melissa (McKee) Heck, and Theresa (McKee) Sink; nieces and nephews, Michael McKee, Amara Fitzwater, Isabella Heck, Rebecca Sink and Sarah Sink Awmiller.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Thompson Falls.
