Sam J. Dodero of Denver, an operations supervisor and actor, died Friday of a stroke at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 46.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Emanuel Cemetery at Fairmount, 430 S. Quebec St. A memorial service will be at 7 tonight at the Rivertree Theater, 1124 Santa Fe Drive.
He was born May 6, 1948, in Brighton. He was operations supervisor and a systems analyst at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He also was actively involved in Denver community theater for 24 years. He acted and directed at the Rivertree Theater. In 1991, he received a nomination for best director from the Denver Drama Critics Circle.
He is survived by his companion, David Smith; his mother, Irene; a sister, Nancy Stitt; and two brothers, Louis and Marvin.
