Sam Tashiro
Business owner, farmer, 71
Sam Tashiro, 71, of Brighton, a business owner and farmer, died Aug. 10. Services were Aug. 14 at Brighton Buddhist Temple. There was cremation.
He was born June 10, 1930, in Henderson. On Nov. 25, 1956, he married Jane Okada in Denver. Tashiro was a Brighton High School graduate. He owned and operated the Snack Basket Restaurant in Commerce City with his brother and farmed in Hazeltine and for Tashiro Farms in Brighton. He belonged to Brighton JAA and Brighton Buddhist Church. His interests included fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Stuart, Brighton; three daughters, Diane Dible, Denver, Judy Aragon, Greeley, and Sandy Brookman, Henderson; three sisters, Haruko Sasa and Yasuko Tochihara, both of Brighton, and Sumi Kagohara, Lafayette; and eight grandchildren.
