Thomas R. Vicory
Thomas R. Vicory, 50, of Lochbuie, was called home to be with his Lord Sept. 9, 2012, in Aurora after a brief illness with his family by his side.
Tom was born July 12, 1962, to Robert and Louise Vicory in Topeka, Kan. He attended Northeast Elementary and North Junior High. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1980. He worked for Brown’s Appliance for many years and was a member of the Brighton Volunteer Fire Department in 1987. He was a 24-year survivor of cancer.
Tom never knew a stranger and always kept a wonderful sense of humor, no matter the obstacles he faced. He also loved the Broncos, playing video games (Halo) and watching “Star Trek” and eating pizza and Chips Ahoy cookies.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Medina-Vicory; sisters Kathy Maple, of Thornton, Charlene (Norman) Miller, of Oklahoma, and Sandy (Gary) Franklin, of Virginia; a daughter, Christina; nephews Ron Janousek, of Thornton, Sean Vicory, Aaron Bustos, of Texas, Levi Franklin, of Wyoming; great-nephew Emilio Maes, who liked to talk about “Star Wars” with his Uncle Tom; nieces, Jessica McCarthy, of Thornton, Mandy Maes, of Arizona, and Alexandria Miller, of Oklahoma. Tom will be greatly missed.
There will be no service, per Tom’s request.
