Victor Merle Dunham Retired underwriter, 78
Victor Merle Dunham of Greeley, a retired underwriter, died Thursday at Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was 78.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Greeley. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Dunham was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Hudson. He attended Brighton High School .
During World War II, he served in the Army as an intelligence and operations officer. He was awarded a Combat Badge, the American Defense Ribbon, two Campaign Stars, a Good Combat Ribbon, the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
In 1945, he married Bertha Rothermel. She preceded him in death.
Dunham attended Parks Business College, then worked as an insurance underwriter until his retirement in 1983.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicky Lynn Stoddart, Greeley; a brother, Marvin, Yuma, Ariz.; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
