In the 1920 Colorado census there is a Wilma Price Bevington, listed as the niece of J.P. (James) and Ora Bevington. They were living in Brighton. I believe that this Wilma is Wilma Fern Price. JP and Ora were still living in Brighton in 1930. If Wilma had become a ward of her aunt and uncle it is likely she took their surname as a convenience. There is no Wilma Bevington or Wilma Price listed in the 1930 census, with the correct parent's birthplace. But, KANOUSE researchers have Wilma Fern Price marrying Rex Kanouse in Jan 1930. They are list together in the 1930 census, and the birthplaces of the parents are the same as the Wilma Price Bevington of 1920. The Denver Directory does list a Wilma Bevington living in Denver in 1930, but I don't know when the survey for the directory would have taken place. She is not listed in any year afterwards. Wilma Price Kanouse's birthdate is consistent with the Wilma Price Bevington of 1920.
