WINIFRED P. CIZEK, 70, of Fountain died Saturday at a local hospital. She was a secretary for the civil service.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 101 N. Main St., Fountain, with the Rev. James Brady officiating. Cremation has taken place. Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Cizek was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Wahoo, Neb., to Pearl and Coral (Toothman) Miller.
She graduated from Brighton High School and had her own radio program in Brighton when she was 16. Mrs. Cizek played the accordian for the Band Buddies of the West in Hanover, Fountain, Wigwam and Pinon.
She was married May 10, 1941, in Denver, to Edward F. Cizek, who survives.
Mrs. Cizek also is survived by a son, Neil of Fountain; a daughter, Lora Brooks, also of Fountain; and four grandchildren.
